where to start
3 easy steps
1. How much can I afford? If you are currently paying rent at $1300/month you can most likely afford a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1500sf house in $150-$210K range with a minimum combined income of $50K.
2. How much of a down payment do I need? FHA loans require around 3.5% down. SC offers first time home buyer grant programs that can assist with thousands at closing. Most sellers assist at closing with up to 2%.
3. What does my credit score need to be? FHA loans typically require a minimum of 580 and coventional and VA require 620.
